Español: La escena representa la colocación de la primera piedra del monumento a San Fernando en la ciudad de Sevilla, que tuvo lugar en marzo de 1877. En primer plano aparecen, y a la derecha, los duques de Montpensier con sus hijas, y al fondo, la reina Isabel II de España con sus hijas las infantas. Y junto a la mesa en la que el rey Alfonso XII de España firma el documento, aparecen el alcalde José María Ybarra Gutiérrez de Caviedes, conde de Ybarra, Francisco de Borja Queipo de Llano, conde de Toreno, el presidente del Gobierno, Antonio Cánovas del Castillo, el capitán general Fernando Primo de Rivera, Manuel Silvela, el jefe de la oposición y un prelado.
