Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Priest Skear Raised stones and boulders, remnants of glacial activity in the area. Other such mounds remaining are Hest Bank, Red Bank, Bolton Holmes and Marsh House Farm. The Skear covers completely in tides over 8.5m or so, depending on how windy it is. The Skear is three quarters of a mile offshore approx. and tides of ten metres or more are experienced at certain times of the year. Beware! |
