Description
English: This is a silver sixpence of James I dated 1603. The coin is from the first coinage (1603-4) with the first bust facing right with VI in the field behind the head. The reverse carries the shield with arms and the date (1603) above. The mintmark appears to be a thistle. The coin has been partly clipped.
