Post Medieval - Buckle - Asymmetrical
Description
English: A post medieval pewter asymmetrical buckle from the mid 17th century. This buckle has a slightly flattened 'D' cross section and has a simple ribbed/scalloped decoration to the square end and two projecting knops to the corners of the rounded end. This type of buckle was in common use to attach spurs to boots during the period from 1610 to 1660.
