Description |
English: Broken cast copper alloy double-looped oval buckle with slight bilobed frame and two moulded transverse ridges on the outer edge of each loop. Within these ridges is a notched lip for the pin rest, on both sides, but the pin is now missing. There is also a lobed knop either end of the strap bar which is slightly recessed from the front edge of the frame.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar example on page 61, No.362, which is dated to c.1550-1650. |
