Post-medieval : Toilet Article
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper alloy toilet article of post-medieval date. The object is likely to be an ear scoop or cosmetic spoon with a circular sectioned stem which flattens slightly to one end and splits to form a broken suspension loop at the other. The object is undecorated.

The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is very worn. The toilet article is 48.9mm long, 7.4mm wide, 4.2mm thick and weighs 2.4g.

Similar examples have been recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as IOW-36F656, LON-B74D20 and YORYM-0271B0.
