Italiano: Golfo di Pozzuoli, Portus Julius visto da Punta Epitaffio - Il tracciato dell'antica strada romana via Herculea, che correva sull'istmo che separava l'antico Lago di Lucrino / Portus Julius dal mare, oggi sommersa per effetto del bradisismo, è riconoscibile nei giorni di mareggiata in quanto che, trattandosi di un bassofondale, le onde vi si infrangono di sopra. La curvatura in fondo è dovuta all'interruzione della strada per la presenza dell'antico canale di ingresso nel lago. Sullo sfondo il basso vulcano del Monte Nuovo, ricoperto di pini, ed alle sue spalle l'alto massiccio tufaceo del Monte Gauro. |
