Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon, Portugal Estação Ferroviária do Sul e Sueste (Lisboa) As obras intermináveis da construção da linha de Metro do Cais do Sodré para Santa Apolónia, têm levado à desfiguração temporária da Praça do Comércio e zonas adjacentes. Um dos ícones da zona, o Cais das Colunas está desaparecido há anos. A montante deste cais (hoje virtual), há um edifício muito bonito e funcional, pelo qual se embarca para o Barreiro. É a Estação Fluvial do Sul e Sueste, durante muitos anos operada pela CP, cujos navios faziam a ligação à estação ferroviária do Barreiro. Com a abertura da Ponte 25 de Abril ao tráfego ferroviário, a ligação fluvial passou a estar a cargo da Soflusa, empresa adquirida pela Transtejo, cujos catamarans ligam regularmente Lisboa ao Barreiro. Aqui fica um olhar de pormenor para a fachada da estação, da autoria do arquitecto Cottinelli Telmo, inaugurada com pompa e circunstância a 28 de Maio de 1932, como uma das primeiras obras do Estado Novo. |
