Polski: Portret przedstawia Andrzeja Józefa Sławęckiego, kanonika kamienieckiego i warszawskiego, proboszcza grodzieńskiego i gołębiowskiego. Niestety, nie udało się ustalić dat jego życia. Sposób malowania portretu dość płaski i schematyczny, krój liter w podpisie wydają się wskazywać na przełom wieku XVIII/XIX jako datę jego powstania. Można przypuszczać, że w tym okresie żył portretowany (gdyby wcześniej, to w napisie widniałaby data śmierci). Obraz jest typowym portretem duchownego (możliwe, że namalowanym do zakrystii kościoła, w którym był proboszczem), w szatach duchownych, opatrzony inskrypcją. Tego typu wizerunki powstawały od XVII do XIX w., wiele z nich trafiło do muzeum Szkoły Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie po kasacie klasztorów (w 1864). Portretowany ukazany został w stroju kanonika warszawskiego, w czarnym "mucecie" (rodzaj pelerynki) z czerwoną kokardą (w podobnym stroju przedstawiony został Karol Kreni, kanonik warszawski i płocki, na portrecie w d. Domu Podrzutków ks. Gabriela Baudoina, repr. w: Przez okna życia, 2012, poz. 5 s. 26-27). Stosunkowo najlepiej namalowana została twarz kanonika, choć spojrzenie pozbawione żywości wydaje się świadczyć, że jest to raczej powtórzenie innego wizerunku, a nie portret namalowany z modela. Umieszczenie w tle obrazu herbu przypominającego herb Dryja (Drya) jest trudne do wytłumaczenia, Sławęccy nie są bowiem wymieniani jako szlachta, nie figurują też wśród "Herbownych" tegoż. |
