Hello. This is not a picture of a Select Committee. It's the Energy Public Bill Committee from the 2009-10 parliamentary Session. You can tell it's not a Select Committee because on one side there are Labour MPs, and on the other Tory and Lib Dems (the Opposition at the time). Public Bill Committees started taking evidence in 2007 (the Local Govt and Public Involvement in Health Bill). This Boothroyd Room in Portcullis House in the House of Commons is used for Select Cttees - Public Bill Committees sit there only when they are taking evidence.
