Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hiram Street at the high access to the container depot, an intensive range of gigant cranes, corrosive railyards and oil tanks and stacks of colourful containers on a substantial area of partly-privatized, non-urban land use interpositioning the CBD from the water and practically making this mediterranean city a place with no civil shoreline. Alongside later permutations in Israel’s economic and political arrangement, the 1930s Imperial British-constructed port of Haifa and its peripheral infrastructures are currently understood as a main source of environmental concern and as the principal structural hinder on the metropolis’ effective social, economic and urban growth in most of today’s planning aspects.
עברית: נמל חיפה.
