on siliceous rock; thin to endolithic greenish crust, K-, C-, KC-, lecideine apothecia, rims black thick raised and cracked and ragged, disk dark brown and often white pruinose, epihymenium brown turning pale golden-brown to clear in K, hypothecium and exciple opaque dark brown remaining so in K, hymenium colorless and IKI-, asci with thin strongly IKI+ blue walls, paraphyses rarely branches and slightly swollen at tips and texturele ss; SPORES 8 per ascus, slightly bent to not, hyaline, smooth, ~20-24×7-8µm, simple
