This view is to the North, looking towards the Alcantara district of Lisbon. When this photograph was taken, in 1998, the bridge was undergoing construction of the rail line in the lower deck. Photograph taken in June 1998 with a Nikon FM2, Fujichrome Velvia 50 film, Nikkor AF 24mm f/2.8D (likely with a linear polarizer).
