Français : Le montage photographique de la famille royale de Tahiti, exécuté vers 1880, par le photographe Hoare, donne, en haut, une image de Pomaré III (1820-1827). Il est représenté avec des cheveux coupés à l'européenne et une-raie à droite, de grands yeux et un type plutôt maori. On discerne un col « Eton ». Nous n'avons trouvé nulle part l'original de ce dessin qui est probablement l'œuvre de quelque missionnaire de l'époque, Orsmond par exemple.
