| Description |
English: The graph depicts the distribution of mutant allele frequencies in a population where 95% have adapted to be pathogen-resistant. Resistance can evolve through mutation at one of L loci, offering multiple ways to achieve the same resistant phenotype. Depending on the value of a compound parameter (θbg), the adaptation can be dominated by a single locus resulting in sweep-like signatures, subtle frequency shifts at many loci, or a mixed polygenic response. The most dominant mutation frequency is shown in red, followed by the second in dark blue, and so on. Varying levels of redundancy and mutation rates influence adaptive patterns in a population. |
