1. ↑ Reseña Histórica El Politécnico México de Santiago de los Caballeros tiene sus inicios a partir del 1889 con el nombre de Escuela Normal de Señoritas ubicado en la Avenida 27 de Febrero, esq. 30 de Marzo, siendo esta dirigida por la señora Herminia Saleta. En el año 1900 es llamado Escuela Superior de Señoritas. En 1915 cambia nuevamente de nombre y es llamado Escuela Graduada Completa de Niños #2, siendo le directora en esta época la Señorita Ercilia Pepin,y fue trasladada a la Calle General Cabrera; pero la población creció y fue necesario ocupar unos almacenes al frente, luego en Mayo del 1928 se trasladó a su local de la 16 de agosto esquina Sánchez. Del 1927 al 1930 se llamo Escuela de Señoritas México, de 1931 en adelante, Escuela Primaria Superior México Mixto, ahí ingresan los varones de séptimo y octavo. En 1932 cancelan a la señorita Ercilia Pepin en la gestión de Rafael Molina Trujillo, por izar la bandera a media asta en señal de luto por la muerte del profesor Lic. Andrés Perozo. Dirección que fue asumida por la Señora Josefa Sánchez. Es hasta el 2006 cuando se crea el Politecnico México Vespertino
