Description
English: Pleated cabriolet fan with painted parchment upper and lowers leaves. The obverse shows naval scenes with floral borders.The reverse leaf is painted paper showing a woman in a pastoral landscape, with a rustic house and fence on the lower leaf. The sticks are carved and pierced openwork (à jour) with Chinoiserie figures, painted and gilded. Paste jewel set in both ends of the rivet.
