Description
English: Tribute to Miguel de Unamuno in Unamuno Square, around 100 m from the house the writer was born in, in Bilbao old town, Biscay, Spain. The column supports a sculpture of Unamuno's head. The man on a yellow shirt besides the monument is Eduardo Maiz, city councillor of Local Police. The major Iñaki Azkuna can also be seen. The white building at the left is the Basque Museum (Basque Archeologocal, Etnographical and Historical Museum).
Español: Homenaje a Miguel de Unamuno, en la Plaza Unamuno, a unos cien metros de la casa natal del escritor, en el Casco Viejo de Bilbao, Vizcaya, España. La columna soporta una escultura con la efigie de Unamuno. El hombre de camisa amarilla al pie del monumento es Eduardo Maiz, concejal de Policía Municipal. Cerca de él está el alcalde Iñaki Azkuna. El edificio blanco de la izquierda es el Museo Vasco (Museo Arqueológico, Etnográfico e Histórico Vasco).
