Summary[edit]

Description

The thick continuous lines show the railways already built, and the discontinuous lines represent the planned ones.

The planned railways were the continuation of Sado Line from Setúbal to Garvão, the original plan of the Sines line originating in Grândola, the Baixo Alentejo line that would connect the São Domingos mines to the rail network, the continuation from the right bank of the Arade river to Lagos and from Faro to Vila Real de Santo António, the Serpa branch line that would unite Pias to the São Domingos mines, the Reguengos branch line to Moura, the Mora branch line to Ponte de Sor, the Vendas Novas Line, the Seixal branch line, and the Vila Viçosa branch line.
