Description
Deutsch: Der Bau der Kirche des hl. Franziskus begann 1301, die heutige Fassade (2015) stammt aus den 19. Jahrhundert. Auf dem Platz vor der Kirche war früher ein kleiner Friedhof. Neben der Kirche befindet sich das Portal des Minoritenklosters vom Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts das zu den hochwertigsten Bildhauerarbeiten Pirans gehört.
English: The erection of the church St. Francis started in 1301, but today´s facade is from the 19th century. the square in front of the church was formerly a cemetery. Beside the church there is the portal of the monastery of minorites. Made at the end of the 17th century it is a very significant work of sculpting in Piran.
