plant cells without out cell wall (in pink)

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The photo was taken during an experiment where cell walls of a plant were removed (by enzymes), that’s why cells are spheric (there's no pressure exerted by cell walls anymore). A cell without cell wall is called a Protoplast. Protoplasts are used for many studies in plant biology, in this case, we were studying the role of cell walls in water exchanges between a plant and it's environment. For analysis simplification, we used some colorants as sorbitol.
