Description

Pholiota iterata A.H. Sm. & Hesler

Image location: upper Rogue River near Prospect, Oregon, USA

These were growing on the ground(humus?) in mixed woods @ ~ 3700 ft. Caps up to 4.1 cm and somewhat viscid. Spore print brown and spores rather pale in 1% KOH under microscope. Spores ~ 8.1-9.9 X 5.1-6.1 microns, ellipsoid to elongate(Q avg = 1.60) My ID proposal is based mostly on my MO#122531….looks and spores are similar.
