He will be amiable and cheerful. THE PYRAMID. THE DIAMOND. The Pyramid or Great Triangle (Figure 6, Plate XVI.)is very often found well defined. If on the Mount of Jupiter (a, Plate XXIV.) it de-notes leadership. When on Saturn it signifies great capacity for spiritu-alistic studies. On the Mount of Apollo it denotes success obtainedby laying a broad foundation and slowly but surelyclimbing to success. On the Mount of Mercury it denotes; prudence andsuccess obtained by being ciautious. On the Mount of Venus (b, Plate XXIV.) it signifiesperfect control over ones passion, a calculating sort oflove, cool and deliberate—a love that never dies. The Diamond (Figure 7, Plate XVI.) is more oftencalled the Island. It is quite frequently found andindiciates in a more decided degree trouble and danger

The oblong Island indicates an irregularity, whilethe diamond-shaped Island shows the disease to be in-herent. When an island is situated on the Head Line (c, PlateXXIV.) the subject has inherited weak mental powers. When any line on the Mount of Venus runs into anisland it indicates disordered love, passions uncon-trolled, disgrace, (d, Plate XXIV.) When an irregular line from the Mount of Venusterminates in an Island at the Line of Marriage (e,Plate XXIV.) the subject will have a disgraceful al-liance. When the Line of Fate runs through an Island (f,Plate XXIV.) the subject will suffer from financial loss. If the Hepatic Line (g, Plate XXIV.) runs throughan Island (c) at the end of the Head Line, the subjectwill suffer (if at the time there is represented on thepalm a place where the Hepatic Li
