A medical man recently assisted in an autopsy on aperson blind from birth, and he sought to discover byscalpel and microscope the secret of the extraordinarilydelicate touch the blind man had acquired during life.Sections perhaps a sixteenth of an inch thick were care-fully sliced off the inner sui-faces of the index and mid-dle fingers of the right hand. Under a high powerthese showed, instead of a single nerve trunk and ar-tery and vein of the average man, a most complex anddelicate ramification of nerve filaments, dainty andminute nerve twigs in immense numbers branchingfrom the main stem. Through constant use the fingertips of the blind acquire this unusual development, withmore and more perfect performance of function. The Heart Line is also plainly marked, added towhich fact it ends between Saturn and Jupiter, whichdenotes strength of character and reliableness of af-fection. She will marry at the age of thirty. Some influence will be brought to bear upon her lifeabout the age of forty which will seriously affect hercareer for a short, time. However, her quick discern-ment and noble aims will rescue her, put her into theright track again, which she will follow unmolested tothe end of her life.
