| Description | This was originally the Montgomery Ward building which closed in 1969. In the late 1970's, an effort was made to create an artistic community in this area called Peoples Alley. A number of artists had studios and galleries here and, I think, in the McDonald Building. Sometime in 1978 a street party was held in the 400 block of Peoples St featuring art and food sales and a street dance. |
