Coin. Voided Long Cross Penny of Henry III (1216-1272), issue of 1247-1272, Class 5b.


Obverse description: Facing bearded bust with crisply defined features including hair of two curls and two pellets on either side, chin pellet, and crown with continuous curving band; sceptre left.


Obverse inscription: hENRICVS REX.III


Reverse description: Voided long cross with three pellets in each angle.


Reverse inscription: Ox?NL/?N?D/NIC/OLE, saltire punctuation. Probably moneyer Nicole at London mint.


Diameter: 18.6mm, Weight: 1.27gms, die axis: probably 3.
