Description
The dedication was to Krøyer's colleague, the landscape painter Christian Zacho, who married Cathrine Mathilde Zacho, née Marstrand on the date in the dedication. The painting was one of the seven studies (Christensen 303-309) Krøyer made for a work that is now at Statens Museum for Kunst. See "Other versions".
