Description
English: Command Sgt. Maj. Jannus Kundla, command sergeant major of the Estonian Defense Forces’ Single Scouts Infantry Battalion, presents a water bottle with the Scouts Battalion’s insignia to1st Sgt. Leonard Porter, the first sergeant for Company B, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade for completing the 2014 Estonian 1st Infantry Brigade Cross Country Cycling Competition held Aug. 19 at Paldiski, Estonia. Company B’s participation marked the first time in EDF history that an American team competed in this 20-km trek through Paldiski’s rocky hills and dense forest. Company B is one of several units from the 173rd Airborne Brigade deployed in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an exercise dedicated to demonstrating commitment to NATO obligations and maintaining interoperability with allied forces.
