Description

I'm still fascinated by the cracks in pavement tiles. Just by looking you can see that there are patterns and limitations to the configurations the cracks can take. There are statistical distributions. Notice how sometimes cracks meet at the same place at the edge of a tile. But I have found no article yet on the corresponding physics. These will be quite difficult, I'm sure.

Pavement opposite the train station of Amersfoort.

Am I the only one who has noticed these patterns? Surely not! But I never found anyone writing about them.
