English: Path junction in St Bridget's churchyard, St Brides Major. The Church of St Bridget in St Brides Major is in the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff. Cadw records that the church was established in 1141 and given to Ewenny Priory by the Lord of Ogmore. Remaining Norman features are the chancel arch and possibly parts of the chancel and nave wall. The building was Grade II (star) Listed as a church retaining significant medieval fabric. Its effigies and memorials are of exceptional interest. |
