Summary[edit]

Description

Our art collective, Pataphysical Studios, is presenting a special exhibit on the Pataphysics of Dada at the Canessa Gallery in San Francisco, on November 3-12, 2016. It is part of the Dada World Fair, organized by City Lights to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Dada art movement.

This photo set covers our preparations for this exhibit , with Drs. Canard, Fabio, Heatshrink, Igor, Mechano, Figurine, Phylora, Priscilla, Really, Rindbrain, Skidz, Tout d’Suite, Truly and Zboon. We unloaded the many parts of this this inter-dimensional art installation at the the Canessa in North Beach.

The Pataphysical Slot Machine, our poetic oracle, will be on display for ten days at the Canessa Gallery in North Beach, San Francisco. We will also present a new collection of paintings, sculptures and mobiles — as well as premiere shadow puppet shows called Ubu’s Dreams. We’re grateful to our gracious hosts Dr. Zack and Prof. Peet for inviting us to present our work in this very special space.

We are hosting three special events: an opening night presentation on November 3, a Pata Dada Ha Ha! event with puppet show and special guests on November 5, and a closing night show on November 12 to wrap up this exhibition. All shows are about half-an-hour and take place between 6 and 8pm.

Vive la ‘pataphysique!
