Description
Deutsch: Auf Initiative von Friedrich Ludwig von Mecklenburg (1821-1884), eines Offiziers des Kürassier-Regiments in Pasewalk, der sich sehr um die Grüngestaltung der Stadt verdient gemacht hat, wurde zwischen 1865 und 1867 an der Löcknitzer Chaussee eine der ersten Parkanlagen der Stadt als Promenade angelegt, der später so genannte Park "Mecklenburgs Ruhe". In Erinnerung an ihn und sein Wirken ließ die Stadt Pasewalk 1934 am östlichen Ende des Parks einen Feldstein - den "Mecklenburg-Stein"- als Denkmal errichten, mit der Inschrift: "Mecklenburg's Ruhe".
