English: Part of the old town walls in Great Yarmouth The very complete walls that surround the town, they were built due to the towns fishing importance, Great Yarmouth was also heavily defended in the Roman period with Burgh castle.
Great Yarmouth used to be more important that Norwich in terms of wealth. |
