English: Part of the Beverley 20, Welton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. A rather boring part of the 20 mile walk from Beverley to Hessle. The map may suggest looking over woodland, or the quarry. Not so. The edge of Welton chalk quarry is guarded by a strong fence and a substantial mound of earth. There are brief glimpses between the trees towards the distant Humber estuary. |
