Summary[edit]

Description

An extremely crisp, smog-free day in Los Angeles after two consecutive nights of heavy rain.

  • Looking south from Mulholland Drive. Just beyond the hills are the Miracle Mile, a portion of Wilshire Boulevard developed for car-based shoppers in the 1930s. Clustering around Miracle Mile are the apartment buildings that make up Park La Brea; it was built in the 1960s, and its sister property is San Francisco's Park Merced with identical buildings.
  • Further in the distance, the Baldwin Hills, known for its oil fields and affluent African-American neighborhoods, is visible. Further away are Los Angeles Airport, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and even Catalina Island, all clearly visible.
