Deutsch: Prozession anlässlich eines Durbar (Audienz) des Großmoguls Akbars II. (1760-1837), der wahrscheinlich zum Id oder nach dem Ramadan abgehalten wurde. Im Gefolge des Monarchen, der von 1806-1837 Mogulkaiser von Indien war, befinden sich seine Söhne, hohe indische und britische Würdenträger sowie Armeetruppen. Die Prozession umfasst Elefanten, welche die kaiserlichen Insignien tragen (Standarten mit Sonne, Sonnenschirm, Fisch u. Ä.), außerdem Sänften und geschlossene Ochsenwagen für die Damen, Kamele, Pferde und Lafetten. Ausschnitt einer Gouache (16 cm x 239 cm), die um 1815 von einem unbekannten Künstler aus Delhi angefertigt wurde. English: Procession on the occasion of a Durbar (audience) of the Great Mogul Akbar II. (1760-1837), which was probably held on Id or after Ramadan. In the wake of the monarch, who was from 1806-1837 Mughal Emperor of India, there are his sons, high Indian and British dignitaries and army troops. The procession includes elephants carrying the royal insignia (standards with sun, umbrella, fish etc.), also palanquins and closed bullock-carriages for the ladies, camels, horses and gun-carriages.
