Description
English: Panici Indici spica, page 498. Dodoens says: "Culmos istud promit crassos, VIII aut IX pedes altos..." It is most probably Pennisetum glaucum and not Setaria italica. Later Linnaeaus mixed the description of both species under the name Panicum glaucum, which caused confusion up to the end of the XXth century!
