Under the control of the Senbanshi kings of Palpa, there is a palace of the Senbanshi kings in this area, and within this palace, Kali Bhagwati of Palhi Kot resides. As this temple was established during the reign of Pala dynasty kings, this Bhagwati is said to be called Bhagwati of Palhi Kot. The temple of Kali Bhagwati at this Palhi Kot has the image of Kali in the Sensha style in the form of an abstract mortal body. On the square of this temple, a semi-circular thumka is raised. A very attractive stone sculpture in the style of Sen has also been installed on the same square wall. The idol of goddess Katkali, installed there by Palhi king Katka, is housed inside a pagoda-style temple. This Kali holds a sword in her left hand and is considered to be an enlightened and peaceful Kali. There are also statues of various other gods and goddesses. In front of the temple, there is a big lion statue and bells hanging, while the goddess statue is dressed in red clothes and looks very attractive. B.S. In the year 1900, Indra Subba also arranged Guthi. According to the priest of this temple, Bedbyas Pathak, one day when Palhi Bhagwati was very angry, no one could approach her, and when she pleaded with Lord Shiva, when Lord Shiva approached Palhi Bhagwati to calm her anger, Palhi Bhagwati trampled Lord Shiva without even recognizing Him. Which can be seen under the statue of Palhi Bhagwati, said the priest Pathak. Also, in this temple, worship is performed with Panchavali and Tantric rituals to pray for the well-being of all on the great Hindu festivals of Bijaya Dashami, Chaitra Dashai, Maghe Dashai, and Ashad Dashai. According to Pujari Pathak, a lot of devotees come to this temple from neighboring countries like Nepal and India. In this temple, regular worship is done daily. There is also a popular belief that worshiping in this temple will fulfill one's dreams. There is also an idol of Chamunda Devi in Devgaon, from this temple to the east. Since the area of the temple is 1.5 bighas, there are many small temples of various deities. On the right side of the entrance to the temple, there is also an information board for the Department of Archaeology. This notice board also proves that it is an ancient temple.

An 11-member Kotkikali Bhagwati Temple Development and Conservation Committee has also been formed for the management of this temple.
