Description

História Encontrava-se a Família Real na sua Quinta de Belém, quando se deu o Terramoto de 1755. O pânico que então se apoderou de D. José I levou à sua recusa em voltar a habitar edifícios construídos “em pedra e cal”. A solução encontrada para a edificação da nova habitação régia passou pela eleição de um local seguro. Escolheu-se então a Quinta de Cima situada no Alto da Ajuda...(continua) Hoje O Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, monumento nacional desde 1910, não é apenas a antiga habitação real e museu de artes decorativas, é também a sede de outras instituições portuguesas ligadas à cultura e palco de cerimónias protocolares. Visita O espaço visitável do Palácio inclui dois pisos: o Piso Térreo onde se situam muitos dos aposentos privados e o Andar Nobre, onde se realizavam as recepções de gala.
