Painting pysanky for peace

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In 2022 an initiative ‘Living heritage for Peace’ was launched (through the ICH NGO Forum) to show solidarity with the people living in Ukraine and suffering from war. The project was celebrating the renowned practice of painting Easter Eggs inspired here by Ukrainian pysanky tradition. The elaborated paintings symbolize new life and hope as well as protection against evil. People everywhere in the world could paint their own Pysanky eggs and share them via social media under the #livingheritageforpeace and #ICHpysankyforpeace
