From the timethe rock is dumped into the crushers until itis finally placed 1,000 feet away in the dam,the material will be handled by mechanicalmeans and at the rate of 150 tons per hourwhen necessary. A belt conveyor passingunder the crusher spouts will pick up thematerial and carry it up an incline, depositingit into a natural basin of granite, underneathwhich a trap, or timber tunnel, extends longi-tudinally with four gates in the roof.
