Summary[edit]
DescriptionPace count beads.jpg |
English: Pace count beads used by members of the military for keeping track of distance during land navigation by counting number of steps taken while moving by foot. Pace count beads were hung from the war gear. The bottom nine beads represented 100 meters each and the top five beads represented 1,000 meters each. Typically, a Marine with full combat gear moved 100 meters every 65 full steps taken. This pace count bead was from circa early 1990s. |
