Summary

[edit]
Description

c/n 1S013-01. Not only was the M-15 the only ever jet powered sesquiplane design, it was also the only jet powered biplane of any type ever to enter production. It was also the worlds slowest production jet aircraft and the only jet agricultural aircraft ever produced! The type first flew in 1973 and production ceased in 1981 after only 175 had been built. The expected production run of 3,000 did not materialise as the type was found to be inefficient to operate. It was named 'Belphegar' after the 'noise demon', due to the engine noise and general looks! On display at the Central Air Force museum, Monino, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
