Car No. 5 of the Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company at the 69th St. Terminal, in service on the Sharon Hill line. Car 5 was built in 1941 by Brill and is a Brilliner model. It and others of its type continued in service after PST was taken over by SEPTA, only about three months after this photo was taken, and the last cars of the type were retired in October 1982. Car 5 is preserved at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, in Washington, Pennsylvania. In the righthand background, two GM New Look buses are visible. |
