Description
Polski: Ośmiokondygnacyjny punktowiec oddany został do użytku w lipcu 1976 roku i pierwotnie mieścił Branżowy Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy "Komel" Oddział Zamiejscowy w Cieszynie oraz na dwóch najwyższych kondygnacjach Stację Elektronicznego Przetwarzania Danych wyposażoną w komputer Odra 1305. Koszt budowy wyniósł ok. 23 mln ówczesnych złotych, a wykonawcami obiektu były Bielskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego, "Elektromontaż" nr 3 w Katowicach, Przedsiębiorstwo Instalacji Przemysłowych "Instal" w Katowicach i Zakłady Urządzeń Dźwigowych w Krakowie. Na potrzeby centrum informatycznego zainstalowano austriacką klimatyzację, a charakterystyczna okładzina elewacji wykonana została z tłoczonych w aluminiowej blasze płytek produkcji bielskiego "Metalplastu" na licencji włoskiej. Po przeniesieniu produkcji Fabryki Narzędzi Celma do Goleszowa obiekt mieścił przez jakiś czas sklep firmowy zakładów, a następnie pomieszczenia zostały wynajęte rozmaitym podmiotom. Obecnie mieści się tu m.in. biuro Narodowego Funduszu Zdrowia.
