Description
English: Principal component plots of the Japanese population in each of the geographic regions. Individuals of each of the Japanese regions are separately colored on the principal component (PC) plots consisting of PC1 and PC2. As reported previously, PC1 and PC2 correlated with the regional vector, and PC1 separated the Japanese population into two major clusters, Hondo (the main islands of Japan) and Ryukyu (the Okinawa islands). Note: PCA plot of Chugoku-Shikoku area is not included. Because of derived allele frequency (DAF) in Chugoku-Shikoku was not available.
