The final switch off of the PAM at LATCC

Summary[edit]

Description
English: There were three Peripheral Adapter Modules in operational use at the London Air Traffic Control Centre in the UK. They were originally part of the IBM 9020D computer system, which was installed in 1974 and decommissioned in 1990. The PAMs, however, remained as part of the system which replaced the 9020D, until finally switched off in 1997. The article appeared in the house newspaper of the CAA, a government department, and is public domain.
