Lieutenant Suglio, of the Italian army, es-tablished a new military record in an aero-plane by reaching a height of 10,000 feetduring a 320-mile cross-country flight fromTurin to Rome. Captain S. F. Cody, an American aviatorbut a naturalized English citizen, was killedby the fall of his aeroplane at Aldershot,August 7th. Mr. Cody had been engaged inthe development of an army aviation corpsunder the direction of the war office.
