Description
English: Ancienne imprimerie dite Journal Ouest-Eclair, puis la Presse Rennaise, actuellement Journal Ouest-France, 34 rue du Pré-Botté, Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine.

D'abord siège du journal Ouest Eclair fondé en 1899 par deux catholiques républicains, Félix Trochu, prêtre d'Ille-et-Vilaine et un avocat, Emmanuel Desgrées du Lou, aidés de quelques amis, tous engagés dans le combat social. L'objectif de l'Ouest Eclair suit un engagement pour la lutte et la justice traduite dans l'Encyclique de Léon XIII portant sur la condition des ouvriers à l'époque d'une industrialisation intense. Le 2 août 1899, 1 800 exemplaires du premier numéro sont tirés. En 1909, construction, par l'architecte Eugène Guillaume, de l'imprimerie du journal républicain, actuelle rédaction locale du journal régional Ouest France. 

   L'angle de l'imprimerie se compose d'un porche ornemental dans-oeuvre inséré dans une tour dans-oeuvre percée d'une haute baie en plein-cintre sur deux niveaux et couverte d'un dôme carré en ardoise. L'entrée du porche est abritée par une très belle marquise en fer forgé de style art nouveau avec l'inscription "Ouest-France".
