Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "Tonight Ethel Barrymore closes her season at the Empire, to be followed on Monday by William Gillette in his revival of Secret Service, which will remain indefinitely. Other changes affect The Havoc. This is the piece in which Henry Miller has been appearing at the Bijou, where The Confession [by James Halleck Reid] with a strong cast takes possession on Monday. At first it was announced that T[h]e Havoc would be moved to the Garrick, but later it was decided to abandon that plan, and the curious little comedy goes on tour. In the cast of The Confession are Theodore Roberts, Orrin Johnson, Ralph Delmore, Harold Vosburgh, Helen Holmes, Olive West, W. J. Brady, [Bi]gelow Cooper, William Ingraham and Jean Marcet [=Anna Marcet Haldeman]. Among the survivors of the season, Baby Mine celebrated its 250[th] birthday last Monday with souvenirs to the ladies, and The Concert was announced to have reached its 200th performance." From "Realism at the Hippodrome" in the Ottawa Citizen, 11th March 1911, p. 13, col. 2, paragraph 3 (italics added).
